As a traveler from Europe, I have always been drawn to the allure of Asia. So when I had the opportunity to visit South Korea, I knew I couldn’t pass it up. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed. Specifically, the vibrant city of Seoul captured my heart and left me wanting more.
From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the unique blend of modern and traditional that exists in Seoul. The city is constantly evolving, with gleaming skyscrapers and bustling streets, yet it still retains its rich history and culture.
One of my favorite places to visit was the Gyeongbokgung Palace, a stunning example of traditional Korean architecture. The intricate details and beautiful gardens made for a peaceful and awe-inspiring experience. And speaking of peaceful, no trip to Seoul would be complete without a visit to one of the many Buddhist temples scattered throughout the city. The serene atmosphere and intricate designs left me feeling rejuvenated.
But Seoul is not just about history and culture. It’s also a foodie’s paradise. From mouth-watering street food to Michelin-starred restaurants, there is something for every palate. And let’s not forget about the shopping. Whether you’re looking for luxury brands or unique souvenirs, Seoul has it all.
As I reluctantly said goodbye to Seoul, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the unforgettable experience. South Korea, and specifically Seoul, has a special place in my heart and I can’t wait to return.
