Nestled in the heart of New Zealand’s South Island, Aoraki / Mount Cook is a must-visit destination for any traveler. As a European, I have traveled to many countries, but my recent trip to New Zealand left me in awe of its natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. Aoraki / Mount Cook, also known as Aoraki in the native Māori language, is the highest mountain in New Zealand, standing at a staggering 3,724 meters. As a nature lover, I was drawn to this majestic peak and its surrounding landscapes, which are a part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
