As a European traveler, I was amazed by the beauty and grandeur of this Middle Eastern gem.
From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and treated like royalty. The city boasts of magnificent architectural wonders like the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, a breathtaking masterpiece of Islamic architecture adorned with intricate designs and shimmering chandeliers. I also took a stroll along the Corniche, a picturesque waterfront promenade, where I was able to soak in the stunning views of the city skyline and the Arabian Sea.
Abu Dhabi is not just about lavish buildings and luxurious hotels, it also has a rich cultural heritage that is worth exploring. I visited the Heritage Village, an outdoor museum that showcases the traditional Bedouin way of life. I also indulged in some retail therapy at the traditional souks, where I haggled for unique souvenirs and tried some local delicacies.
But the highlight of my trip was the exhilarating desert safari. I rode through the golden sand dunes in a 4×4 vehicle and experienced the thrill of dune bashing. I also got to witness a stunning sunset over the desert and later enjoyed a traditional barbecue dinner under the starry sky, accompanied by mesmerizing belly dancing and Tanoura performances.
